Youth Appreciation Day has been a tradition of Optimist International for more than 50 years. Our Redlands Chapter has been observing Youth Appreciation Day since the early 1960's. Like most clubs we started by recognizing just a handful of students, but realized that there were many students worthy of receiving this recognition. We hold one of the largest Youth Appreciation Day programs in the Country by recognizing 70 of the top students in our community. |

On Thursday February
24th the Redlands
Optimist Club held our
Youth Appreciation Day
Event honoring some of
the top students
throughout the Redlands
School District for their
accomplishments
ranging from academics,
athletics, arts and for
contributions to the
community. Special
guest in attendance
where Mrs. Lori Rhodes
the Superintendent of
Schools, Mrs. Patty
Holohan the President of
the Redlands School
Board, and our guest
speaker Mr. Jack
Dangermond, founder
and President of ESRI.
